REV. FRANK CASTRO-WEHR

Live joyfully, and support others to live in their full, prayerful, passionate, awakened, creative, and embodied Divine Presence. Minister in a congregation, embracing our present and unfolding good.

Rev. Frank Castro-Wehr is a New Thought minister, ordained through Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute (UWSI) and becoming the Senior Minister at the Unity Spiritual Center of Bellingham in October 2021.

Rev. Frank is passionate about inviting and connecting people into community, to share joy, wholeness, wonder, and the unfolding of our sacred journeys.

Frank leads from a perspective that begins with the inner path of awakening to our true Selves – and then enjoys witnessing the myriad ways this out pictures into the richness and wholeness of our lives.

Frank loves to weave lessons from Spiritual works, Unity teachings, the mystics, science, consciousness studies, and world traditions in a way that enriches and informs our daily lives in practical, sacred, and useful ways. He looks to experience the unfolding fullness of the Christ essence in each person, in society, and in the evolving energies of Mother Earth.

Frank’s creative Unity experience led to vibrant talks for Sunday services and during special services at his home Unity community, and with other communities as a guest speaker. He has developed original services for Easter and Christmas season events. He includes sacred texts, contemporary natural and evolutionary sciences, Unity theology, and world spiritual traditions in his ministry. He served as a Board member and Financial Officer at Unity in the Gold Country; a YOU Sponsor and as a part of the youth ministry team; Friday social time lead; Unity Earth Care coordinator; and as President of the Unity Ministerial Students Board.

Frank committed years of support in the Catholic Worker Movement, and for Spiritual Social Action – he’s spoken at dozens of conferences on topics ranging from ecological health, resilience to climate change, and team coordination, as well as led retreats and workshops focused on ecology and spirituality. He has specialized skills in Leadership Training, Strategic Planning, Group Process, and Program Management. He is committed to being a prayerful presence, compassionate listener, and an integral thinker.

Rev. Frank and wife Dyann raised their two children in Unity and in the Sierra Foothills. Prior to ministry, Frank served as an Emergency Management Consultant and on an EPA Response Team. Rev. Frank enjoys time in nature, insightful conversations, running, coffee, and all sorts of sports.
