The Desiderata says: You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here, and whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should. And awakening happened within me when I first read that, and it never left. But wait; we are taught that we are children of God, and then the Desiderata is saying we are children of the Universe. But it’s true because God, is everything in any time or dimension, physical or metaphysical, forever; the one Consciousness, the beloved Creator. Before the Big Bang birthed our cosmos, God was. For me, the presence of God is Joy and my mission is to simply choose Joy no matter what. Worshiping then is acknowledging and appreciating the Divine Presence in us as Joy and then expressing that Presence to the world as our Love. Yes, you are a child of the Universe and you do have a right to be here!
